Many recognize today as Self-Care Saturday!
However, you guys know how we do it at Flowerchild777. We are cognizant of the words we use! So, instead of saying today is Self-Care Saturday, I want to recognize this day as Self-Nourishment Soothing Saturday and of course I’m going to explain why!

I remember growing up and hearing the elders say something about the cares of the world. They would also speak against being concerned about these cares.
Naturally, as an adult…seeing the hashtag across social media #SelfcareSaturday…and being a free thinker, I decided to research the etymology of this word care.
Care (v.)
Old English carian, cearian “be anxious or solicitous; grieve; feel concern or interest…..(source also of Old Saxon karon “to lament…to sorrow, complain,” ……said to be from PIE root *gar- “cry out, call, scream“
Gothic kara “sorrow, trouble
You know how being care-less has a negative connotation associated with it? It turns out being careless actually means to be free from anxiety; unconcerned and being care-free means to be free from cares as broken down above.
So, if a tranquil life involves being care-free, then we definitely do not want to be care-full, full of anxiety, or even put self and care in the same sentence! We do not want to be anxious, grievous, or sorrowful of our self. We want to nourish, replenish, and restore the self on Saturdays after experiencing a busy work routine in the days prior.
Nourishment is the food or other substances necessary for growth, health, and good condition.
So, here are some ways we can practice nourishing the mind, body, and soul on Saturdays!
Tip #1: Declutter the Mind.
Today is the day to just relax and live in the now. Imagine yourself deep-cleaning your home and apply that same technique to your mind.

Today is the day of Restoration and the root word in that is REST. It’s difficult to rest in a home that is full of clutter and it’s also difficult to put your mind at ease when there are 1,000 different tasks, obligations, and cares (anxieties) floating around in your consciousness.
After you have decluttered the mind, call attention to those things in your life that are commemorable. What are some qualities about yourself and/or your life that you can take pride in? What are some personal achievements that give you a feeling of deep pleasure or satisfaction?
Give yourself a warm embrace and recognize in this moment that you are Audacious, dynamic, venturesome, and unrelenting. You have made it this far in your journey and have so much more to give to the world.
#2: Connect with Your Authentic Self and Disconnect from anything or anyone out of tune with that identity
What is the authentic self? The authentic self is our soul’s essence; it is the nontampered part of our being that was created before we entered our mother’s womb. It is the creative life force we carry within us that gives us purpose. It is the part of our self that needs zero validation, it is just here to BE. It expresses as a gift to the world.
You will know when you are connected to your authentic self when you are able to act in a regard that is of beneficial service to yourself and others. It is the soul’s identity….the part that cannot be bought by a corporation or compromised on any level.
Our spirit is in alignment with autonomy, freedom, compassion, agape love, kindness, peace, charity, and goodwill. Whenever you feel your self expressing in a care-free way that is not self-abasing, egotistical, or tyrannical…whenever the self is calm, loving, vibrant, and unafraid of judgment, that is when you are attuned with your authentic self; your soul’s identity.
In order to maintain the integrity of your soul, you must recognize when someone or something is out of tune with your energy. This is crucial, because a connection is a transfer/exchange between energies.
In a previous blog post, in which I will tag below, I describe how it is important to differentiate between Fiends vs. Kin and Familiar vs. Familia.
Fiends are those who are addicted to your personality, but they have no interest in your spirit person (who you are authentically).
Kin or Kindred Spirits are those who resonate with your spirit. These are your Kind, meaning you are similar in your nature. The connection is harmonious and mutually reciprocative.
The familiar spirits are those well known from long or close association. A familiar spirit is also a demon or evil spirit that answers one’s call. 😱 We don’t have to get too spooky or pious in that regard. A demon is just a low-vibrational intelligence that plays on our inferior nature. So, a familiar attachment in the physical world would look like an acquaintance whom we keep close in order to engage in valueLESS and futile ventures; the connection serves no purpose to our highest mission.

Familia on the other hand is synonymous with kin, kindred, or dynasty (a succession of SOVEREIGNS or a sequence of powerful leaders from the same lineage).
It’s vital to make a clear distinction between these two labels. Right now, we’re being aligned with our KIN, our soul tribe, and our familia so that our purposes can be magnified. With all of the agendas present on the planet designed to steer humanity into a robotic, totalitarian state, it’s crucial for us to wake up from the deep slumber and remember the blueprint of our soul. It’s time to BE who we ARE at our core, our spiritual essence, and attract those who are already in alignment with our spirit so that we can be surrounded with those who will be fighting WITH us as allies and not AGAINST us as enemies.
Challenge your circle today and gain the courage to end any associations that do not bring out the best in you.
Do you have a circle of Fiends or KINDred spirits?
#3: Challenge Your Mindset
I dare you to challenge every deeply embedded program that goes against your soul’s blueprint. Challenge those doctrines, dogmas, childhood teachings, and staunch beliefs. Write down every credence that rules your life and see if that belief is one that propels you forward or holds you back. Evaluate if that idea encourages you to be sovereign or subservient. Ask yourself if these principles equip you to be courageous or timid.
Cancel and rebuke any concepts that make you feel like BEing your authentic self is a violation. Know that you were created to be EXACTLY who you are, because that is a gift to the world. Being true to your purpose helps humanity in so many ways. You were created to be Autonomous, having the freedom to act independently. You are not an Automaton, a moving mechanical device made in imitation of a human being.

Challenge your self-limiting beliefs. I want you to analyze every single thought that formulates in your mind, like an algorithm, and see if that thought is in alignment with how The Almighty Father envisions you.
Know that you can Re-SET your current mind-set. Place a set of explicit regulations on your heart and mind that will BLOCK any vibration (sound, thought, or energetic interference) that will not produce an output of a harmonious and loving frequency.
Then, I want you to make a solemn promise or affirmation to yourself that you are an Espiritu Libre, a spirit that is liberated through Christ the Messiah and ready to exude all of the BEAUTIFUL energy that is within you.
You are greater than the frequency of FEAR or DOUBT. You fully embody the frequency of self-love. You are:
Scintillating
Electric
Levelheaded
Fearless
Lionhearted
Original
Valorous
Evolutionary
AND DON’T YOU EVER FORGET IT!

#4: Soothe the body
Once you have taken the time to declutter the mind, connect to your soul identity and eliminate futile connections, and eliminate self-limiting beliefs about yourself or the world, now it is time to bathe the body and wash away all that WAS.
One fun fact about the day Saturday is in Scandinavian countries, Saturday is called lördag, lørdag, or laurdag, derived from the old word laugr/laug (meaning bath), therefore Lördag equates to Bath-day!
Here in Arkansas, we have Hot Springs. This location has many bathhouses that host immersion in thermal waters. This form of natural healing uses transdermal absorption of natural minerals found in the spring, such as sodium, sulfate, lithium, potassium, magnesium, manganese, iron, silica, zinc, phosphate and nitrogen.
Absorbing nature’s medicine as opposed to synthetic and chemically-altered minerals is the best way to revitalize and nourish the body since we as humans derive from nature.
In our homes, we mimic the natural healing mineral-rich hot spring water by adding epsom salt and/or herbs to our bathe to soothe aches in the body.
Try to plan a trip to the nearest bathhouse, if it is within your means, for at least 1 Saturday of each month. For the remaining Saturdays, you can continue to mimic the hot spring by adding herbs and salts to your bath.
Whatever you do, make it a priority to nourish and replenish your body on Soothing Saturdays.
