Soothing Saturday Tips to Nourish the Mind, Body, & Soul

Today is usually the day that I set aside to go within and check on my spirit to see how it’s doing. I say Sun-day or Sol (en Espanol) Day is Sol-Seeking Sunday because the light of the world is also the light that is within us…Sol=Soul.

Soul:

A substantial entity believed to be that in each person which lives, feels, thinks and wills” [Century Dictionary], Old English sawol “spiritual and emotional part of a person, animate existence; life, living being.

The light of the world awakens us every rising. Our body has a circadian rhythm that is in unison with the Sol. However, due to our busy lives and career obligations, we sometimes forget to power up the Sol within us.

As a recap of a recent blog post, I touched on getting back to love! After returning back to the United States from a 1.5 year journey living life in Central/South America, I realized just how imbalanced the western lifestyle is. Many have traded in the priceless moments with family and human connection with the hustle towards the American dollar.

When we’re in tune with ourselves and nature, we normally wouldn’t have to SEEK or search for our Sol that is within us. It’s not as if it’s hiding or anything, LOL. It’s always present waiting for us to tap in. However, we must inquire about our Sol and make an active pursuit to let it know that we recognize its value in our life and actually desire to remain connected! We must pursue our Sol in the same way we pursue worldly endeavours. This is what balances the scales and creates harmony in our lives.

There’s so many of us who completely forget who we are on a spiritual level. We get entangled with the corporate identities and materialistic pursuits and forget that we incarnated into this life to serve a higher purpose on the earth. Life was NOT designed for perpetual labor without rest, reflection, and meditation.

So, this is what Sol-Seeking Sunday symbolizes for me. It’s the day that I unapologetically tend to my light within and give it all the attention, shine, and nourishment that is necessary for it to continue to thrive.

The other 5 days of the week we are usually preoccupied with busy-ness (business). And as the term week implies, it can literally make your spirit WEAK. So, Sundays are the best time to recharge, recalibrate my frequency, get that spiritual alignment intact using spirituality concepts of oir family’s choosing, check to see if I’m balanced or imbalanced in certain areas of life, and absorb the present moment with my husbae and children.

Taking time to focus on love and connection is a critical part of my Sol-Seeking Sunday routine, because the soul is best fed with high vibrational energy. Unconditional love is the HIGHEST frequency that any human will experience.

I hold these things sacred to my heart.  These things are what remind me of my authentic self. In a world that’s so ever-changing and unpredictable, I can always depend on my spirit and the unconditional love that I have nurtured within my union and family to remain consistent. So, it’s important for me to soak it all in on today.

What are some things that you do on Sunday? Do you cater to your spirit on this day or another day? What tools do you use? I would love to discover some new resources! I enjoy learning new concepts that challenge my spiritual growth. How do you spend your Sundays?! Give me some feedback in the comments below!

I hope you all enjoy your SOLday!
