Happy Motivational Monday Flowerchild777 Fam!

I wanted to give you all some words of encouragement today.

Monday is usually perceived as the dreadful day of work, especially if you feel stuck in a position at your place of employment. You would like to dedicate more time to your personal business, but right now you feel it won’t bring in lucrative income. Trust me, I know the feeling all too well.

Transitioning into entrepreneurship or into our life’s purpose is a process. For some of us, it doesn’t happen overnight. We have to cycle through certain roles before we find the perfect fit. 

But today, I wanted to remind you that we are not the self that has created a corporate identity in order to survive in this matrix. Our authentic self is always there in the background waiting to have its turn.

I hope this story can be of inspiration to you. I’m hoping through this post, you remember to let your authentic self shine a little more, because that is who we truly are and that is how we will change the world!

In 2010, I made a courageous decision to join the Air Force as a teenager. I had no clue what I was getting into. But, I was up for the challenge.

My mother was kind of afraid for me. She felt I was too little in stature to be in the military, but the strength within me was like a giant. I was eager to branch out and do sonething different. I respected my mother’s feelings of concern for ne as her baby girl, but I couldn’t suppress my desire to break boundaries for someone else’s IDEA of who I was “supposed” to be.

This song linked below is from one of my favorite childhood movies, Mulan. Mulan faces a similar dilemma. She could have brought her family honor by pretending to be someone she was not. Instead, she wanted to follow her heart’s desire.

As Disney describes it…

Mulan always knew that she was more than what her reflection showed. Like a rare, beautiful flower that blossoms in the face of adversity, Mulan proves her worth outside of her tradition-bound society and becomes a legendary warrior. Through courage, passion, and determination, she defies the odds and proves that anything is possible when you believe in yourself, and find the courage to speak your mind.

The Struggle to Follow Our Heart’s Desires

Many people suffer with this dilemma of authenticity versus approval even into adulthood.

The cycle seems endless. We begin having GUILT for wanting to be ourselves so desperately, because maybe that decision involves letting go of a job or relationship in order to dive in head first into our dreams.

Next, we’re moved to SHAME for slightly following through with our desires. Family members, especially caregivers, can be quick to share their disapproval with our choice. As I described in a previous post, Top 5 reasons why YOU can’t just LET THEM live their life..,this is common when a person is no longer able to benefit from your lifestyle.

Then, there’s the labeling of DISHONOR for not staying in character. You may be labeled as the black sheep, the “can’t do right child,” the outsider, the strange one, etc. This further instills guilt within us and makes us question our life purpose.

For some of us, staying committed to our authentic self is more important than acceptance. However, for some of us, it is understandably difficult to feel as if we are turning our back on loved ones in order to pursue our purpose. Because of this, it’s extremely challenging to break free. The end result is REDEDICATION/recommitment to the assigned ROLE. And then the cycle repeats until eventually it becomes exhausting.

How to break Free

At some point, we all have to find the courage to forsake all others in order to truly discover our authentic self.

The word forsake is often given a negative connotation. But, it simply means to deny, refuse, dispute, or renounce something or someone.

Sometimes we have to challenge what others are coaching us into. The agenda MAY be protection. But, the underlying reason for the protection could be based on false perceptions and projections of someone else’s past experiences. We cannot dedicate our journeys to someone else’s experience. We have to gain our own life encounters to reach clarity.

Know this: All persons who are MEANT to accompany you during your journey of discovery will support you in all of your endeavors from a space of unconditional love. A person does not have to know the ins and outs of your purpose in order to support it. Support is just a form of encouragement and assistance and it only requires someone to believe in your abilities as much as you do.

Know this also: Sometimes the very individual(s) or organization(s) that are holding you back are those that YOU ALLOWED to do so. No person or entity can put shackles on your feet without your permission. So, if you have allowed any person or thing to do so, take your freedom keys and unlock those suckers yourself! Don’t wait on anyone else to do it. You are the only person that understands the fire you have for your passions. You have the power to free yourself.

Remove those Dream Killers from your Circle

You know what a circle symbolizes? A circle symbolizes reciprocation, oneness, and agreement.

So, if you have people in your circle who are largely doubtful, uninspiring, unable to think outside of the box, then that is the ONLY energy that will be recycled into you.

You must STOP giving dream killers permission to be a voice in my ear. Stop allowing those who aren’t even attuned to your authentic self constant opportunities to tear down your dreams.

I harp on self-love and self-acceptance in almost every post, because those are the preliminary initiation tools to succeed in every area of your life.

People can only love you at the capacity of love you hold for yourself. So, guess what? If you are being extremely conditional and unaccepting of your authentic self, then you are going to continue to attract conditional individuals into your space. You will allow it. And with that, you will only be ALLOWED to go so far before you’re reminded of the ROLE you are supposed to play.

My continuous affirmation for protection against conditional relations is this:

I solemnly swear or affirm…
That I AM an Espiritu Libre..
For the simple fact that I adamantly REFUSE to PARTICIPATE in anything that makes me feel constrained or subservient…
I will no longer ASSOCIATE myself with any organization that encourages me to be self-abasing or subordinate to another flawed human being…
I DECLINE ALL invitations that will result in me falsifying my intrinsic nature to force my larger than life essence into a box….
I WILL NO LONGER alter my identity to gain approval from substandard entities…
I AM a beautifully, uniquely-made, unprecedented individual..
I will not apologize for my alluring attributes that exceed your comprehension….
YOU no longer have permission to hold me hostage to your projected insecurities..
I AM no longer honoring your perceptions…because I realize my aspirations surpass your radar.
Your fears will be rerouted onto a road that leads relentlessly back to you…and you will EAT the words that you so boldly speak against my expedition.
Your cogitations serve no purpose for the passageway that I have been divinely escorted into.
Your chains have incapacitated…And I am setting my own self FREE!
I solemnly swear or affirm that I will BE EXACTLY what I came here to be.
