Religion:

• derived from relegere “go through again” (in reading or in thought), from re-“again” (see re-) + legere “read.”
• religare “to bind fast” (see rely), via notion of “place an obligation on.“

Religion: Teaches us to look outside of our own selves for answers/guidance. It subtly teaches us to feel less confident in our own innate ability to make rational decisions….basically coaches us to have low self-worth. It keeps us in a perpetual robotic practice in order to gain unsubstantiated rewards. It keeps us OBLIGATED to rituals and keeps us trapped in fear, guilt, disappointment, FEAR, unworthiness, superfluous PRIDE (which is a fruit of ego), FEAR, disappointment, etc.

Do you know what an obligation is? An obligation is when you feel you CAN’T do anything else…you have no choice. Which is in complete opposition to what we were placed here with…FREE WILL. Free will means you DO have a choice in your life path. Free will means without punishment, without obligation, etc.

When we operate in spirituality, we operate from our spirit. Our spirit is concerned with LOVE. It naturally resonates on an unconditional love frequency.
^{Galatians 5:22-23 “}But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, ²³ gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

Synonyms for faithfulness include reliability, trustworthiness, closeness, and true-heartedness. When we are acting from our spirit, there is NO WAY or ROOM for separation/cold-heartedness. We will, by default, be gentle and kind to others without any second thoughts! The thought would never cross our mind to judge or be hateful to someone because of a PHYSICAL difference. We will be able to look straight to the core of another person and honor the sacred spirit within them.
Heart: Old English heorte “heart (hollow muscular organ that circulates blood); breast, soul, spirit, will, desire; courage; mind, intellect.”

The heart’s mind is not our brain. The heart’s mind is not analytical, it’s a consciousness based on a KNOWING and resonation.

In a previous post, I also discussed how Heart = eartH. Earth is ground. So, when we are operating from our heart, or spirit, we will have more grounded judgments.

Religion, on the other hand…….

Religious institutions and temples are indeed created by humans out of ego, control, watchman-ship….wanting to verify that people are doing “right.” It was never the desire of a divine mother/father Creator for us to be obligated to church membership. We can gain insight of this by looking at some of the early texts/writings.
Isaiah 66:1
“This is what the LORD says: “Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool. What kind of house will you build for Me? Or where will My place of repose be?”
Acts 17:24
“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples made by human hands. Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things.”
^{Luke 17:20-21 “}Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”
1 Corinthians 3:16 “Don’t you yourselves know that you are God’s temple and that the Spirit of God lives in you?”

These texts are what many aren’t directed to over and over again. Instead, the members are REMINDED of how they are supposed to behave and how they need to continuously recruit others to the organization. Relegare=to go through again. Religion will lead you to going around in circles, cycles, going through the same rituals over and over with no real results. Spirituality will have you growing in ways unimaginable, because you will always be operating from your heart and not ego. You will always have an open heart to go with the flow of life.

Most importantly, you will feel FREE and not bound. Religion comes with a 10% tax. The moment you leave the organization, those conditional friendships will leave as well. You will then realize you were only accepted because of a title. Spirituality is FREE and you have infinite access to IT (your spirit). It is a part of your being, it never leaves you. It is with you throughout your entire journey. It is WITHIN you and not separated from you.
